Brenda’s Birdie Squares
Brenda’s Birdie Squares
1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
3/4 cup yellow corn meal
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsps. baking powder
1 cup skim milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil (I used olive oil)
1 egg plus the shell broken into tiny pieces
1/4 cup broccoli in bird pieces
1/4 cup culliflower in bird size pieces
1/4 cup finely dices bell pepper plus the seeds
1 TBLSP red pepper flakes
1/4 cup parakeet seed
mix all together this will be pretty thick, bake in oven at 350 until edges are golden and tooth pick comes out clean. Cut into squares while hot because it gets hard as it cools. This is easyly froze, when you remove from freezer thaw uncovered to prevent moisture. Keeping up to 4 squares in the refridgerator after thawing.
