Our Boys

We have many more boys than this but this is just a sampling of the quality we have...

NCS 29K-19-05
"Spottie"

Pointed Pearl split Lutino (2nd in show at less than 9 months of age!)  Spottie just got through with his first clutch of babies and they are looking great!
Set up for breeding with a joint breeding with Amber Penninston!   16P Normal/wf hen. Sister of the 2nd place hen at the 2007 Nationals.

On Babies!

Mini Jimi
NCS 70L-32-01

Father of our Champion "Isabelle"
He's a great father and has a ton of style that he passes to all his babies!  We love him and his cute antics! Jimmy Grandson on three of the four sides of his pedigree which makes him very sought after in pedigree.
Mini Jimi is visiting Sue Smith's House in Charlotte, NC.  He's expecting babies with "Poppie" another K&L Aviary bred hen owned by Sue!
Update:  Babies are born!  Cool!

"Bingo"

Bingo is my two sons pet.  This guy is very animated and says "Hello Bingo!"  He travels to nursing homes, school educational functions and even the NC State Fair to educate folks about cockatiels!

NCS 55G-1035-96

Bred by Linda Greeson, a top breeder of some of the largest birds in the country, this cock has sired some of the most fantastic birds in the country!  Multiple sire of Grandchampions including 2006 National Show Winner!  Thanks Julia!
Gone to visit "Uncle Phil"

Peal/Lutino Cock
NCS 16P-142-06

We aquired this cockatiel from Phil last year after a breeder friend of ours went to go visit him.  This cock is even and stylish.  Has one of the nicest top lines as well as conformation that I've seen.  We will be putting him into some of our lutino lines as well as Greeson lines.

NCS 16P-15-05
"Redmond"

We purchased Redmond last year from Phil Feret at the spring show in Montgomery.  He's now the sire to some very beautful birds.  Major Points.
Nephew of the 2007 National Winner!

 New 2006 Grandchampion
Bred by Phil Feret
Owned by K&L Aviary
"Kissyface"

Congrats to Joanne Lester who now owns Kissyface!

"Manilow"
NCS 70L-546-05

This is Lola's Full Clutchmate.  Look at the length on this guy!  His tail does not fit in the standard show box.!   He's got a terrific head and is an overall "put together" bird.  Will be a great breeding and show bird!

"Hawk Jr."
NCS 18R- 309-03

I got this beautiful bird from Josh Maple but it was his mother, Ree Maple's breeding.  Father was "Hawk" a very nice headed cock and mother was Granchampion "Brandy" who is my GC "Brittany"'s sister.   This guy has a HUGE crest!!!
Update:  I have bred Hawk Jr. to a Brittany daughter.  Their babies are staying here at K&L Cockatiels
Resting... Awaiting a his pied mate to mature...

"DHB"
NCS 70L-26-02

DHB is a well balanced cock with a TERRIFIC head.  He's from almost pure Greeson lines. Fathers pedigree was Hogan/Charmin X Pair 54
Mothers Pedigree was Hogans Brother X Wendy Lomas.  DHB has proven to be a super cock as he throws all his best attributes onto hs offspring.  Extreme style and good size makes for a great mix!  Many of the birds listed on these pages have DHB in their pedigree.  He's up now with our best hen (the one on the banner)  Milli is GCh. Sunbursts Aunt (Queen's Sister) and this potent mix should prove well.
ON FERTILE EGGS WITH MILLI!!!!
(no babies from the first clutch will be available)

Champion
"Awesome"

We aquired "Awesome" from Ree Maple of Cockatiel Cottage.  He is a recent champion and comes from a long line of champion's and grands.  Ree has a lot of pride in her lines and we thank her for our welcome addition
Set up for Breeding

"Durkheim"
NCS 70R-31-03
Wf Cinnamon Pied
NCS Pointed

Durkheim is one of the foundation pieds that I am working on.  His mother Chirpy is the foundation for my pied line and her good features are carried down to her offspring.  Durkheim will be set up Fall 2006 for breeding.  We hope to get more great pieds from him!
Set up with sister of Wf Pied pictured in next picture!  Sure to be a great breeding!

NCS 16P-25-05
Wf Pied

This was a bird I received from Phil Feret in July of 2005 on a trip to Redmond, WA.  He's got great confirmation and is awaiting conditioning for the show bench.  Co-owned with Mapleleaf Aviaries.

Pearl (possibly split to Lutino and Whiteface)
NCS 29K-39-06

Another crestful wonder!  Grandsire is NCS 16P-264-95 (sire of many grandchampions).  Father is a Tory Grandson.
